Why a blog? Good question! I am not a great writer, or incredibly smart. I don’t always know what I am doing. But that has never stopped me in the past. I like to experiment and learn. The point of this blog is not to tell folks the right way of doing things. I only want to share my lessons learned here. I will share what I get right and what I get wrong and the things I learned along the way.
We have a lot going on here. We have chickens, goats, alpacas, a donkey, a horse, we compost food scraps and manure, we raise Black Soldier Flies for chicken feed, I have dabbled in making bio diesel for the tractor, soap for various purposes and we are trying to learn and implement Permaculture principles where we can. Tune in from time to time to see what we’ve learned.
My writing is not the typical blogger’s style. I learned to write in the Army and my writing is generally short and to the point. You won’t have to dig through a bunch of fluff to get to the heart of the matter. I hope these pages are useful to someone. Please make comments and share your experiences when you can. I look forward to sharing with y’all.

Center for Agricultural lessons Learned (CALL)?
More like Center for TR’s Agricultural Lessons Learned (CTRALL). Doesn’t roll off the tongue quite as well, though.
